Beginning Orchestra
Parent of 5th Graders,
I would like to invite your child to become a member of the Crossler Area Fifth Grade Beginning Band. Come learn about this excellent program, try out instruments and get started at our Band Start-Up Night. This event will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Crossler Middle School in the Gymnasium. You can attend one of two sessions at the Start-Up Night: the first from 5pm to 7pm, or the second from 7:15pm to 9pm. Students will try out the various band instruments to find the right fit for them.
Representatives from Willamette Valley Music Company will be there to get you started with instrument rentals. Please do not let financial concerns keep your child from participating in band. There are many programs available to fit your needs. We will be happy to tell you about them.
Crossler Area 5th Grade Beginning Band will begin on Monday, September 25, 2023. 5th grade beginning band students will be bused from their elementary school to Crossler MS five days a week for instruction. The bus will pick up students from their elementary school around 2:45, after they have been fed a snack. Instruction at Crossler MS will begin by 3:15pm and conclude at 4:00pm. Students may be picked up from Crossler MS at the end of the day or may be transported home on a Crossler MS Bus.
The Crossler Area 5th Grade Beginning Band performs a few times throughout the year and goes on a tour in the spring to all four elementary schools that feed Crossler.
