Voters passed a bond measure in 2018 to fund improvements across the entire district, including at Salem Heights Elementary School. Bond funding will provide more than $3 million in renovations at Salem Heights.
Highlights of the work planned at Salem Heights include:
• Music room improvements
• Seismic improvements
• Additional parking and improved traffic flow
• Increased visibility of the main entry from the office, including relocating the main office and creating a secured vestibule
• Replacement of the old portable building
• Intercom system upgrades
The district’s project management team is currently working with Anderson Shirley Architects to finalize the drawings that construction contractors will use to improve the spaces at Salem Heights.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2022 and is expected to be complete in December of 2022.
