Hello Racal Families,

The district released an update for Chromebooks this afternoon to help alleviate the many technology issues we ran into last week. Here’s what you need to know for tomorrow:

1) Your student’s Chromebook will need to be fully shut down and then restarted. Do this by holding the power key until it prompts you to shut down, give it a minute, then restart.

2) Apparently the Canvas and Seesaw Apps themselves were creating most of the problems we faced. We will be entering both through the district website from now on. This is your student’s homepage online, so it should still be easy to find.

3) You will need to reinstall the Zoom app on your student’s Chromebook when it gives the option. Our principal Mrs. Theis has recorded a video with step by step instructions for how to do this. Please consider taking a few minutes tonight to prepare your student’s device for a smooth school day tomorrow.
