Dear Rascal Families,
We have some exciting news to share! Salem Heights is doing an art contest to find the front and back covers of this year’s yearbook! (More information on purchasing yearbooks will be available at a later date)
Our school has stayed connected in an amazing way during this hard time and we want to remember that.
We are looking for drawings that show how we are still Rascals together, even though we are apart.
To enter the contest parents need to either scan or take a really good picture of the drawing and send it to Ms. Ashley in the office at: higgins_ashley@salkeiz.k12.or.us
If there are big shadows or if the drawings are hard to see we can’t use them, so please take care!
Submissions are due by Friday May 8th, and on Monday May 11th we will share a video announcing the two pieces of art selected to be on the front and back cover, so be sure to send your submission by then!
If your student’s isn’t selected, don’t worry, many other drawings will make an appearance throughout the yearbook- but whose and where will be a surprise!
We can’t wait to see what our amazingly creative kids come up with! Go Rascals!

¡Tenemos algunas noticias emocionantes para compartir! ¡Salem Heights está haciendo un concurso de arte para encontrar las portadas y contraportadas del anuario de este año! (Más información sobre la compra de anuarios estará disponible en una fecha posterior) Nuestra escuela se ha mantenido conectada de una manera increíble durante este momento difícil y queremos recordar eso.
Estamos buscando dibujos que muestren que todavía somos Rascals juntos, a pesar de que estamos separados.
Para participar en el concurso, los padres deben escanear o tomar una muy buena foto del dibujo y enviárselo a la Sra. Ashley en la oficina a: higgins_ashley@salkeiz.k12.or.us Si hay sombras grandes o si los dibujos son difíciles de ver, no podemos usarlos, ¡así que tenga cuidado!
Las presentaciones deben presentarse antes del viernes 8 de mayo, y el lunes 11 de mayo compartiremos un video anunciando las dos obras de arte seleccionadas para estar en la portada y contraportada, ¡así que asegúrese de enviar su presentación para entonces!
Si su estudiante no es seleccionado, no se preocupe, muchos otros dibujos aparecerán a lo largo del anuario, ¡pero quién y dónde será una sorpresa! ¡Estamos ansiosos por ver qué inventan nuestros niños increíblemente creativos! ¡Van los bribones!
