In Salem-Keizer Public Schools (SKPS) we are committed to maintaining safe and welcoming spaces for all of our students and staff, which extends to our online learning environments. Because of this commitment, we will be making some important adjustments to how our students access Zoom for their virtual learning sessions. Starting on Thursday, Oct. 8, in order to participate in Zoom classes, all students must log in to their Zoom account before joining any Zoom meeting hosted by SKPS. Many of you are already doing this and will not need to make any changes. We are just trying to ensure a smooth start tomorrow.
How students login depends on the device they are using. We have created a step-by-step guide to help students with accessing their class sessions from a district-issued Chromebook or a personal device. Instructions for several different devices can be found below or at this link: Zoom Login for Apple, Microsoft, and Chromebooks. If your student uses a district issued Chromebook you can also watch this video for instructions: District Chromebook Login Video
The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff in our online learning environments is without question, our top priority. We thank you for being a part of our SKPS family and joining with us to keep our environments safe.
If you have any questions about how to login to the Zoom platform with your student’s district credentials, please call the office at 503-399-3187 and press 3 for help from Homecoach.
